As a lifelong animal lover, pet parent and care taker, leaving your fur babies is the hardest thing to do! It’s one of the many reasons I started Sierra Pet Care. My pet sitting career began in college at the request of co-workers at the local law firm where I worked through high school & college in the early 2000’s. It quickly grew through referrals to several families as I supported myself through undergrad. I took a break when I graduated, got married and dove into the corporate healthcare world as an HR Executive for nearly a decade.
Fast forward to May 2020 after some life twists, turns, exploration and travel my last fur baby (and absolute love of my life) passed from cancer at 17 years old. I thought it would be a good idea to hop back into service through pet sitting to ease the loss of my little man and make some extra cash during the pandemic while growing my manual therapy practice. Little did I know my steps were being guided to fulfill my passion and create the life of my dreams through doing what I love: serving people and caring for animals. Refocusing my energy the pet care business quickly EXPLODED solely via referral (immense gratitude to all our beloved clients, THANK YOU!)
In-home professional pet sitting is by far the best alternative to kenneling or trying to juggle depending on neighbors, friends or family who aren’t always reliable. I LOVE caring for animals (it’s my passion and life purpose) while getting to know their unique personalities. The peace of mind knowing that your kids/best friends are cozy in their own home, routine, receiving lots of love, personal attention and cuddles helps ease the stress, guilt and tug on your heart of leaving them. We strive to provide excellent service to our clients with dedicated, experienced, loving, heart-centered professional pet sitters that will go the extra mile treating your pets as their own. We look forward to meeting your four-legged, furry family members and would be honored to be trusted with their care while you’re away. Loving your pets is what we do best!!!

"I'm so surprised with how well our over-anxious, somewhat agressive baby did with Erin during their walks. Erin definitely has a gentle, magic touch with animals which was obvious from the first time we met. I would definitely recommend her."

"I'm hesitant to leave an honest review for people to sntach up the best sitter I've ever found! Not only did Erin provide loving care to my babies, she cleaned up around my house, did my laundry and made me a homemade treat. To say that I was shocked when I came home is an understatement. I'm so lucky to have found Erin and I'm thankful I can travel knowing she's taking great care of my kids. Such a blessing!"

"Erin is amazing! Our very shy, anxious pup immediately felt comfortable with Erin and she was wagging her tail from the very first time they met. We feel assured knowing she is in good hands!"
``Erin is amazing! She first started watching Leo for us when my husband and I went off to get married. She took incredible care of our high energy breed. Since I'm a neurotic pet owner, she made me feel comfortable by sending photos of our handsome boy daily with a rundown of what they did that day! She also kindly cleaned our apartment for us, and left amazing homemade blueberry crumble ice cream!"
"Erin is absolutely amazing! She was able to watch our APT after or original sitter canceled on us. She sent updates, pictures, went on adventures and made sure our pup was treated as the princess she is! Erin is our go-to sitter."
"Erin is sweet and attentive with individualized care for my Rottie to accommodate his recovery from hip replacement. She does physical therapy exercises and progressively caters the care to what he needs. She was his dog walker even after recovery until he passed. She is approachable and friendly! We love her and highly recommend!"
"Erin is a great sitter, and our dog took to her right away. The bookings are easy and we felt safe leaving our dog in her care. She is always on time and communicates well. Highly recommend!"
"Erin is absolutely wonderful with our pup. The first time we left her for 10 days felt a bit stressful, but Erin made it super easy. We got regular updates & photos of Mila while we were traveling and we knew that she was getting good exercise and cuddles. Mila is a bit anxious, but Erin is great with her and the updates we receive when her team stays helps us know she's in good hands. We've been using Sierra Pet care for several years!"
"Erin is extremely friendly and truly cares about the animals she spends time with. My dog has so much fun with her and it really shows."
